Produced in preparation for the Rome Prize, these sketches study contrapposto in Classical sculpture. Through the act of sketching, the dynamic balance between figure and form was articulated, establishing an understanding of form as inseparable from space—an inquiry that later became instrumental to the foundation of my doctoral research.
